Kyle Juszczyk Cleared to play Week 15
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 5:00 PM
Juszczyk (ribs) does not have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Titans, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Analysis: Juszczyk fractured his rib during the 49ers' Week 13 win over the Browns. The veteran fullback had extra time to recovery courtesy of the 49ers' Week 14 bye, and he's been given the green light to play in Sunday's home game. Juszczyk has mostly operated as a backfield blocker on run plays but has also been effective in the passing attack, having hauled in 20 passes (on 23 targets) for 187 yards and a touchdown through 13 regular-season games.
Christian McCaffrey
Christian McCaffrey Cleared after full practice
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 4:27 PM
McCaffrey (illness) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Titans, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Analysis: The 49ers added him to the injury report mid-week due to an illness, but McCaffrey still managed a limited practice Thursday and full session Friday. He should be fine for his usual role this Sunday against the Titans, albeit with higher-than-usual risk of being pulled early from a blowout. Of course, that might be the same scenario in which McCaffrey puts up a ton of points early in the game.

Christian McCaffrey Practicing Friday
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 2:54 PM
McCaffrey (illness) is practicing Friday, Noah Furtado of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Analysis: The illness apparently isn't serious, considering McCaffrey was a limited practice participant Thursday and is now practicing again Friday. He's on track to play Sunday against the Titans.
Kyle Juszczyk
Kyle Juszczyk Remains limited Thursday
Thu, Dec 11, 2025, 7:08 PM
Juszczyk (ribs) logged a limited practice Thursday.
Analysis: Juszczyk has begun Week 15 prep with consecutive limited practice sessions due to a fractured rib. The fact the veteran fullback has been able to participate in some capacity both Wednesday and Thursday suggests he has a chance of suiting up Sunday against Tennessee, though he may get an injury designation for the contest if he's not able to practice in full Friday. Should Juszczyk have to miss Sunday's game, it would mark his first absence from a regular-season contest since 2022.

Christian McCaffrey Dealing with illness
Thu, Dec 11, 2025, 4:27 PM
McCaffrey was limited at Thursday's practice due to an illness, David Lombardi of SFStandard.com reports.
Analysis: McCaffrey ranks fifth in the entire NFL with 85 catches and also sits in third with 237 carries through 13 games this season, resulting in 1,655 yards from scrimmage and 13 total TDs. With an illness now in tow, he may need to get back to all activity Friday in order to avoid a designation for Sunday's contest against the Titans. Brian Robinson is the next RB up in San Francisco if McCaffrey cedes any backfield reps this weekend.
Kyle Juszczyk
Kyle Juszczyk Limited by rib injury
Wed, Dec 10, 2025, 11:15 PM
Juszczyk (ribs) logged a limited practice Wednesday.
Analysis: Juszczyk suffered a fractured rib ahead of the 49ers' bye week. That gave him the chance to rest and the opportunity to suit up for the 49ers' Week 15 matchup against the Titans.
Brandon Aiyuk
Brandon Aiyuk Not ruled out from playing in 2025
Tue, Dec 2, 2025, 11:30 AM
San Francisco general manager John Lynch reiterated Tuesday that he's still "hopeful" Aiyuk (knee) will play at some point this season, though Lynch acknowledged that he wasn't sure how realistic the wideout's return might be, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Analysis: Lynch noted that Aiyuk is continuing to take part in rehab work for the surgery he underwent last October to address ACL and MCL tears in his right knee, but the 49ers have thus far declined to put out a target date for when the 27-year-old might be ready to practice. As David Lombardi of SFStandard.com suggests, the decision as to whether Aiyuk suits up in 2025 likely falls on the wideout's shoulders. While the 49ers would seemingly welcome him back if he's healthy enough to play, Aiyuk may not be as motivated to suit up after San Francisco voided approximately $26 million in guarantees for the 2026 season back in late July. Aiyuk is still on San Francisco's books through 2028, though the team will likely look to trade him this offseason if it can find a suitor willing to pick up most of his remaining salary. Releasing Aiyuk is another possibility, but the 49ers would incur a dead-cap charge of $29.585 million if he's cut outright without a post-June 1 designation.

Kyle Juszczyk Dealing with rib fracture
Mon, Dec 1, 2025, 7:44 PM
Juszczyk is dealing with a rib fracture ahead of the 49ers' bye week, David Lombardi of SFStandard.com reports.
Analysis: Juszczyk sustained the injury in the team's 26-8 win over the Browns on Sunday, and he's expected to be reevaluated after the team is idle in Week 14. The fullback will have a good shot at not missing any action moving forward as a result of the week off.
Kyle Juszczyk
Kyle Juszczyk Further evaluation coming
Mon, Dec 1, 2025, 12:37 PM
Juszczyk will have further evaluation on his ribs injury once the team returns to Santa Clara, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters that initial tests revealed no broken ribs, but Juszczyk will still undergo further testing to determine the extent of his injury. The 49ers have a Week 14 bye, which could allow the 34-year-old fullback enough time to recover ahead of the team's Week 15 matchup against the Titans.
Kendrick Bourne
Kendrick Bourne First target since Week 10
Mon, Dec 1, 2025, 11:29 AM
Bourne was held without a catch (one target) in Sunday's 26-8 win over the Browns.
Analysis: Bourne was targeted for the first time since Week 10 in Sunday's road victory, but he failed to haul in his only opportunity across 23 snaps played on offense (34 percent). The veteran wideout has been relegated to No. 4 on the depth chart ever since Ricky Pearsall returned from a knee injury Week 11. Bourne should remain a fantasy afterthought when the 49ers return from the upcoming bye week to face the Titans on Sunday, Dec. 14.
Demarcus Robinson
Demarcus Robinson Logs first carry of 2025
Mon, Dec 1, 2025, 11:18 AM
Robinson failed to secure his only target while gaining six yards on his first carry of the season in Sunday's 26-8 win over Cleveland.
Analysis: Robinson was limited to one touch for the third straight week, but it came in unorthodox fashion when he handled an end-around for his first carry as a member of the 49ers. The 30-year-old logged 27 snaps on offense (42 percent), maintaining his status as the team's third wideout behind starters Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall. Robinson has been unable to generate noteworthy production in his steady role in an explosive offense, resulting in a meager 13-163-0 receiving line heading into San Francisco's Week 14 bye.
Brian Robinson
Brian Robinson Eight carries in dominant win
Sun, Nov 30, 2025, 7:38 PM
Robinson turned eight carries into 26 yards in Sunday's 26-8 victory over Cleveland.
Analysis: Robinson garnered at least seven carries for the fourth game in a row, but he was limited to an uninspiring 3.3 yards per carry Sunday. The running back also didn't see a target for the first time since Week 9. Robinson has now rushed the ball 72 times for 328 yards and two touchdowns while catching seven of 10 targets for 19 yards over 13 contests this year.
George Kittle
George Kittle Paces Niners in receiving yards
Sun, Nov 30, 2025, 3:47 PM
Kittle caught four of five targets for 67 yards in Sunday's 26-8 win over the Browns.
Analysis: The veteran tight end led the Niners in receiving yards and tied Jauan Jennings for the team lead in catches on a day in which passing was difficult due to high winds in Cleveland. Kittle has caught at least four passes in six straight games, racking up a 33-371-4 line on 39 targets during that stretch. He'll get a breather during San Francisco's bye next week before taking on Tennessee in Week 15.
Ricky Pearsall
Ricky Pearsall Just two catches in Cleveland
Sun, Nov 30, 2025, 3:44 PM
Pearsall caught two of three targets for 14 yards in Sunday's 26-8 win over the Browns.
Analysis: High winds in Cleveland nerfed both passing attacks, and tight ends George Kittle and Harold Fannin ended up being the leading pass catchers for their respective squads. Pearsall hasn't been able to make much of an impact even in better conditions since returning from a knee injury however, and over the last three games he's managed just a 5-20-0 line on nine targets. The second-year wideout will get the 49ers' bye week to reset before taking on the Titans in Week 15.
Jauan Jennings
Jauan Jennings Hauls in TD in Week 13 win
Sun, Nov 30, 2025, 3:40 PM
Jennings caught four of six targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-8 win over the Browns.
Analysis: Both passing attacks struggled to deal with high winds in Cleveland, but Jennings was able to get on the other end of a Brock Purdy seven-yard TD pass in the fourth quarter. It's the fifth-year wideout's fourth score in the last five games, a stretch in which Jennings has put together a 23-246-4 line on 33 targets. He'll get a chance to rest during next week's bye before the 49ers host the Titans in Week 15.
Christian McCaffrey
Christian McCaffrey Gets into end zone in Week 13
Sun, Nov 30, 2025, 3:35 PM
McCaffrey carried the ball 20 times for 53 yards and a touchdown and caught all four of his targets for 21 yards in Sunday's 26-8 win over the Browns.
Analysis: The 21 receiving yards represented his lowest total of the season, while the 74 scrimmage yards were his worst production since Week 8 as the 49ers offense struggled in bad weather against a tough Cleveland front seven. McCaffrey salvaged his day with a one-yard TD plunge to open the scoring in the first quarter however, his eighth rushing score and 13th total touchdown in 13 games. McCaffrey will get a breather during next week's bye before taking on a more vulnerable Titans defense in Week 15.
Brock Purdy
Brock Purdy Produced two TDs in win
Sun, Nov 30, 2025, 3:30 PM
Purdy completed 16 of 29 passes for 168 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-8 win over the Browns. He added four rushing yards and a TD on two carries.
Analysis: High winds in Cleveland made passing difficult, but Purdy was able to connect with Jauan Jennings for a seven-yard score in the fourth quarter after the QB ran in a two-yard touchdown of his own in the third. The rushing score was Purdy's first in three starts since returning from a toe injury and is the best sign yet that he's fully healthy. He'll get a bye to rest up next week before the 49ers host the Titans in Week 15.
Kyle Juszczyk
Kyle Juszczyk Questionable to return Sunday
Sun, Nov 30, 2025, 2:31 PM
Juszczyk (ribs) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Browns, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Juszczyk exited in the fourth quarter with a rib injury. The fullback is a key part of the 49ers' rushing attack, and if he is unable to return, the role will likely be filled by a blocking tight end such as Luke Farrell or Jake Tonges
Jordan James
Jordan James Inactive Sunday
Sun, Nov 30, 2025, 11:04 AM
James (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Browns, Briana Jeannel of the 49ers' official site reports.
Analysis: The rookie fifth-rounder was inactive with a finger injury in Week 1. Since then, he's been a healthy scratch. James can't seem to crack a depth chart led by Christian McCaffrey, Brian Robinson and Isaac Guerendo.
Jordan Watkins
Jordan Watkins Healthy scratch Sunday
Sun, Nov 30, 2025, 10:59 AM
Watkins (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's matchup with the Browns, Briana Jeannel of the 49ers' official site reports.
Analysis: The wide receiver and punt returner will be a healthy scratch for the third consecutive week. That stretch has coincided with the return of Ricky Pearsall in Week 11. Watkins also remains behind Skyy Moore on the team's punt returner depth chart.
